There are stories of a sanctuary amongst the trees. A forest for the skinless where flesh is unwelcome. On All Hallows Eve, the animals of the earth rise to dance, shaking the earth with pounding strides and howls from deep in the forest. Dancing around the Pyre of Luminescence, they bleach their bones of flesh-form restrictions in the moon-rays of immortality. In revelry they thrive at the spiritual oasis of the fire dance, free to be wild and protected from mortal interference forever.

Don the dead head of a beast and walk the hidden paths of the Fleshless Forest as you find your way to the great gathering of the animal undead. Leap, pounce, stomp and slink round the great fire dances, obscuring the lesser mortal within.

• As practice follows tradition, on the darkest night the bravest of mankind will disguise their form with paper masks to traverse the Fleshless Forest and join the carnival of the animal dead. Obscuring their humanity from the skeletal souls that prowl the darkness they will leap, stride, stalk and pounce to move as animal undetected. Take your place in the great dance but leave by dawn. Soft and pale, weak and frail exposed in first light you’ll be. Living intruders beware of the sharp bone and claw of those who wait to stretch skin over drum.

• Simply print the templates on paper, stick them to card, cut them out, match the numbers and join the tabs together. The Mask is scaled to fit an adult but you can make children's masks by scaling down the templates when you print - check our FAQ page for details. The templates come with instructions for an internal head band that can be adjusted by moving the fixing points to get a snug fit. Some templates are supplied with component colour guides to help you create identifiable markings unique to the Mask.
