Josephine saw it there on the merchant’s table and all the noise from the bustling comic con market seemed to filter into muted murmur. The Dragon Skull glared at her from the tat-littered table, occupying its space as a tyrannical overlord amongst the plastic bodies of long-dead franchises strewn about the display. She felt the pull of the relic and the rising tension of inevitability. It was all the money she had brought, but destiny does not come without a price.

She tucked it under her jacket, holding the skull by the horn as she walked home under a grey sky that burgeoned on black. On reaching the park, unable to wait any longer, she placed the skull on her head and it fit like a part of her that was missing before. • This Dragon Skull is the result of our annual Facebook Creature Competition. Thank you Elizabeth Lumley - our 2020 winner, for sharing your awesome idea. This mask represents a hybrid low/no poly design.
