Reports of a mysterious figure have been making headlines in the city for years with still no explanation as to who or what it is that witnesses describe. Most accounts are from underground public transportation. Some have heard groans and scratching sounds echoing from the tunnels. One man reported catching a glimpse of a huge figure hunched over something. He couldn’t be sure what he saw as he blew past in the ashen tunnels under the city. A woman recently reported a looming figure of similar description on the last line late at night. She never saw it get on or off the train. The phenomenon has caused a decrease in both crime and train ticket sales.
