World Book Day
We used the design as part of a mammoth costume for the Ice Monster, using brown card for the head and white for the tusks. Took us quite a long time to build, but it was nice to do some family activity in cutting and pasting. The results were amazing, with unexpected compliments from other parents and teachers. I'd buy other masks in the future as although it took a while to build, we enjoyed both the process and results.
Jumbo sized Jumbo mask
This is a superb, if time-consuming, mask to make. After making one standard size I scaled the pattern up to A3 sheets (43% larger) and made it again for "Jumbo" in our school production of "The Greatest Showman". Sadly in the time available I couldn't design a body that did justice to the Jumbo-sized Jumbo mask, so here's a snap of the mask on a tripod. Thoroughly recommended to anyone with a bit of time on their hands. The only question remaining is what will my next Wintercroft mask be?
'Old Stumpy' The Elephant
As we are in a difficult performing situation with our stage school, building sets for our Peter Pan might be problematic. So, we are going for large props to keep us busy ...and this fits the bill nicely - it will become an Indian totem for them to 'worship'.
Brilliant Project
Myself and my 11 year old daughter completed this mask together, making it into a woolly mammoth mask for World Book Day. I wish I had know about this site years ago, my son would have loved it! Such amazing designs put within reach of normal people like us!
Wintercroft
Thanks for your comment and kind words, your mammoth is one of my favourite World Book Day creations this year and even more so knowing that you built it together. Well done to you both!
